WHAT IS BLUES and WHY? ...featuring: Blues Fundamentals Blues

Blues Guitar Finger picking This workshop is designed with three distinct sections and runs about 1-1/2 to 2 hours. It's designed for the musician, and the non-musician alike. The intent is to give a deeper understanding of "The Blues", from both a musical and historical perspective, as well as an examination of the techniques used by the players, and why it all ties together to form one of the most interesting musical art-forms to emerge from the American experience. Each section will present a pragmatic understanding of what can often be a mystery to many people, but will become clear and even more rich with anecdotes and historical references. Time will be given in each section to discussion and answering questions. It's designed to be fun and informative, with each person leaving with a deeper understanding of "The Blues". |
